On February 12th, 2015 the PPC Masters gathered top national and international PPC heroes, SEA rock stars and AdWords experts in Berlin, all of whom have been exclusively selected by the organizers.

  • Andreas Hörcher

    Andreas Hörcher founded a full service internet agency during his studies, principally dealing with the topic of SEA. In 2006 Andreas founded the Finnwaa GmbH – Agency for Search & Social Media Advertising. Andreas is a joint organizer of the SEAcamps in Jena, he is on the management board of the company TowerByte eG, a lecturer at “Leipzig School of Media”, initiator of the agency network Socialmarketingagentur.com and part of the associated company Finseed GmbH.

  • Christian Steinbock

    As an Account Strategist at deltamethod GmbH, Mr Christian Steinbock is responsible for strategic counseling, execution of SEA-Audits and optimization of various clients. As teamleader, he trains and supervises the deltamethod consultants in SEA, particularly in the following topics: optimization, process automation and soft-skills-development. He has seven years of online marketing experience. In 2008, he set up the display advertising department at the tariff comparison portal TopTarif. Furthermore he worked during his studies for the Unister-Group in the SEA department. After he finished his studies, Christian established a marketing department at a subsidiary of the VNG (Verbundnetz Gas AG) and supervised the online marketing. Later he switched to Zalando in order to work as Marketing-IT-Coordinator. Christian has been working at deltamethod GmbH since 2012.

  • Ciaran Murphy

    Ciaran is a maths enthusiast who loves getting stuck into AdWords and analytics data. He is experienced across the spectrum of Digital Marketing including SEO, Social and PPC. His focus is on PPC where he has worked on an array of e-commerce and lead generating campaigns for some of Ireland’s top brands. Ciaran is part of Wolfgang Digital’s experienced digital marketing team. Wolfgang Digital became the first agency to retain the prize for Best Search Campaign at the 2014 Digital Media Awards. Ciaran has become the fourth member of Wolfgang Digital to lecture at the Digital Marketing Institute and is delighted to have the opportunity to help students develop their knowledge of Google AdWords.

  • David Riedmiller

    David Riedmiller has been an online marketer since 2005, and was awarded the OnlineStar in the field of search engine marketing during his time working for agencies. David has been working at the Munich shopping club limango since 2010, a subsidiary company of mytoys – at first in charge of performance marketing, and now as a marketing director and the individual responsible for the acquisition of new clients.

  • Dominik Johnson

    Dominik Johnson is Key Account Development Director at Yandex. In this role, Dominik forges, develops and reinforces the company’s partnerships with the leading brands and digital agencies in Germany and Europe. Dominik is one of Germany’s top-100 managers, according to Werben & Verkaufen (W&V), the country’s leading magazine for marketing and advertising. He is also a contributing author at a number of online publications on search engine marketing and a sought-after speaker at industry events and conferences in Germany and around the world. Before joining Yandex, Dominik served as Executive Manager at a full-service international performance-based marketing agency, where he was initially responsible for social media marketing and then took on an executive role. He is credited with building a global network of independent performance marketing agencies. With over ten years of experience in digital marketing, Dominik has a deep understanding of the market and a prescient sense for new trends and initiatives.

  • Emma Welland

    Emma is Head of Performance at Periscopix, a London-based PPC, RTB & Analytics specialist agency. Emma is responsible for best practice, knowledge sharing & development across all paid media departments within the agency. She has been running accounts for 4 years and is involved with over 80 clients, ranging from SMBs to high street retailers to blue chips. Emma writes a regular column for PPC Hero and spoke at Hero Conf 2014.

  • Fernando Angulo

    Fernando Angulo is the head of international partnerships at SEMrush, an online service that provides competitive intelligence including keyword research, paid research and backlink analysis. Fernando is actively involved in the search marketing world, and he is a regular speaker at SEO and digital marketing events worldwide. He specializes in B2B search marketing and lead generation programs. As an integral member of the SEMrush team, Fernando uses his knowledge and experience to define development strategies according to new trends and current market requirements. Fernando received his Master’s degree in world economics from the University of Saint Petersburg in the Russian Federation.

  • Gianpaolo Lorusso

    Gianpaolo became interested in search engines in late nineties and since then has been working on web projects for several large Italian and international companies. He has been an AdWords Certified Partner since 2005 and in 2012 launched ADworld Experience, the most important Italian event about Search Engine Advertising. As a natural complement to his SEM skills in 2008 he became interested in User eXperience, and since then he has never stopped designing information architecture and optimized conversion rates.

  • Jennifer Bölitz

    Jennifer Bölitz is an online marketing manager and SEA expert at AKM3 GmbH. The Berlin online marketing agency advises companies in the fields of SEO, SEM, SMM and reputation management and is specialized in international link marketing. Jennifer has been at AKM3 since 2012 and was significantly involved in building up the SEA team there which she has been leading ever since. Her heart beats for the operative craft as well as analytic-creative strategies to constantly enhance customers’ accounts. Born and bred in Berlin, Jennifer worked in the maintenance of online games before joining online marketing and continues to passionately conduct her own browser game in her free time.     John is an award-winning speaker and travels as the Bing Ads Evangelist to digital marketing conferences across the country. John balances his deep technical knowledge of data, paid search optimization strategy and emerging trends with an acute awareness of his audience, delivering personable and friendly presentations that engage. He is a popular contributor to blogs including SEW, ClickZ and Huffington Post.

    Kai Rieke is the director of online marketing at the company builder Project A Ventures and is responsible for the performance marketing of the different participations. Before this Kai Rieke was cofounder and manager of the Europe-wide dealing dating agency eDarling. As an online marketing expert Kai has been working in the “internet industry” since 1997 and has invested in several startups as an active business angel.

  • Luca Senatore

    Luca is an energetic, positive and dynamic speaker and digital marketing professional with strong Business Development and Account Management experience. Also interestingly, he is a qualified Mind Coach and a life-long martial artist competing to this day in top level Mixed Martial Arts matches.

    Magdalena Gut is an online marketing manager at limango GmbH. She has been responsible for the division of Facebook Paid Ads Germany for one and a half years. After her studies in business economics with a focus on marketing communication at the University of Pforzheim, Magdalena Gut started working at limango GmbH in Munich. In addition to Facebook marketing, Magdalena Gut is also responsible for the division of marketing control and the management of diverse marketing-IT-projects.

    Maik Metzen runs AKM3 GmbH alongside two others. The Berlin online marketing agency advises companies in the fields of SEO, SEM, SMM and reputation management and is specialized in international link marketing. Before founding the AKM3 GmbH Maik Metzen ran the SEM, SEO and controlling department of Hitmeister for over two years and during his studies in business economics in Cologne he gathered practical experiences at Spreadshirt in Boston.

  • Marc Rüsing

    As a supervisor SEA at Performics, Marc is responsible for the strategic direction and the further development of the SEA teams as well as customer consulting and development in the field of SEA.
    With more than 8 years of work experience in Online Marketing, including working at Google for almost 4 years as well as work stations at Bazaarvoice, Adtelligence and his own projects, Marc offers valuable SEA knowledge and extensive expertise in Performance Marketing. Due to his wide ranging experience he is additionally in charge for the business development and strategic consulting of both existing and new clients.   • Marco Brenn

    Marco is an expert in international search engine marketing and retargeting. In addition to his certification as a Google AdWords professional, Marco is an accredited professional for Bing ads and a certificated Yandex expert. Since November 2014 he has been associated with the SEA complaint council of the BVDW e.V. In addition he is the first German marketer to have been awarded the title “DC-Storm Professional”. Marco has been working in the field of SEM for over 14 years. He has been an equal partner and associate at InBiz Online Marketing GmbH & Co. KG since October 2013. Before his managerial work Marco worked for the Fulda Performance-Marketing agency KUPONA as the director of SEA and was significantly involved in building up the field of paid-search. During this time he was in charge of looking after large clients such as Unitymedia, eGentic and the ProSieben-Sat.1 group. Prior to this he was the Search Team Leader at United Interest AG responsible for in-house national and international SEA campaigns for the subsidiary companies 1&1, GMX and Web.de. Lastly, the SEA expert was additionally tasked with the rollout of the retargeting activities of the Fulda display specialists in Russia and India due to his extensive market know-how.

  • Matthew Umbro

    Matt has been in the PPC industry since 2007, working and collaborating with clients across several industries to attain better ROIs, improved lead generation and increased brand awareness. He has earned his Google AdWords Qualification passing the Fundamentals, Advanced and Reporting exams and has received the Bing Ads Accredited Professional certification. He writes monthly articles for PPC Hero, Search Engine Land and Search Engine Journal.

    Matt is also the founder and host of PPCChat (#PPCChat), a weekly Twitter chat where industry specialists discuss various PPC topics. Every Tuesday at 12 PM EST a new topic is discussed from fundamentals and metrics to theory and the future of PPC. PPCChat streamcaps can be found on his website, www.ppcchat.co.

    Max Renneberg is founder and Managing Partner of deltamethod and oversees the business side. He participates in Marketing Due Diligences for reknowned PEs and investment groups, identifying and applying biggest optimization levers.

    Before deltamethod Max founded esanum.de in 2007 (European online physician community) and Kochhaus.de in 2009, a supermarket chain. Max holds a law degree from Humboldt University Berlin and a Master of business from WHU, Koblenz. He is supporting a number of food and e-commerce businesses as a business angel.

  • Prof. Dr. Paul Alpar

    Paul Alpar has been a professor for Business Administration and Business Informatics in the faculty of business economics at the Philipps-University since 1993. Upon obtaining his doctorate he worked in line and staff positions in the IT departments of the European headquarters of big American companies. From 1986 till 1992 he taught at the University of Illinois in Chicago, USA. As a guest lecturer he also taught and researched at the University of Frankfurt a.M., New Mexico (USA), Tel-Aviv (Israel), California, Berkeley (USA), Pennsylvania State (USA), Georgia State (USA), WU Kiev (Ukraine), VGU (Vietnam). He is a (co)-author of approx. 60 academic essays and 5 books, including “Kommerzielle Nutzung des Internets” (translated: ”Commercial Usage of the Internet”), Data Mining, Web 2.0 and Business Informatics. He is a member of the Editorial Board of different international journals and co-director of the Marburg support center for setting up business (MAFEX).

  • Ralf Kollosche

    Ralf Kollosche is a key account manager at the online marketing agency Projecter. SEA has been his passion for 5 years and he has met and served a diverse variety of clients from all areas. Ralf participates regularly as a speaker on the SEA-camp, trade fairs and online tutorials. Besides online marketing Ralf has gathered experience in the field of web analysis and online product management at the international level. For Ralf, SEA account management continues to make up the majority of his work but the use of AdWords scripts is developing into a new passion.

    Rob is an engineer turned digital marketer and a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. Rob works on a variety of PPC campaigns from brand awareness to lead generation to e-commerce. Not just a whizz with Google AdWords Rob’s Excel knowledge is vast. Rob is Wolfgang’s go to guy with Excel related issues. Rob’s talents also delve into the world of content creation. He is a prolific blogger on the Wolfgang blog, some of his posts on Google AdWords updates actually rank higher than the Google AdWords posts on the same topic! Rob is a massive Leinster fan & a poolhall hustler.

    Stephen is a marketer and optimizer who works with startups. He is currently leading marketing for Codility.com in Warsaw. Stephen has a Master’s Degree in Social Media and brings both first-hand experience and academic theory to social advertising. 7 years of front-line digital marketing consulting and ops management for agencies and startups has given him the skills to get things done. He contributes extensively to the SEO community via teaching, writing and lecturing and is a top 20 contributor to MOZ.

    Tobias Pappert is head of SEA and leads the division of search engine advertising at the online marketing agency Projecter. Additionally he is responsible for campaigns of selected customers and advises them strategically on the realization of their online presence. The SEA expert has had a focus on PPC for over 5 years and possesses a detailed and cross-sector knowledge about the implementation and optimization of campaigns. Furthermore he holds workshops, trainings and gives lectures at events about the topic of online marketing. Before his time at Projecter Tobias Pappert already had a taste for agency work and amongst other things has worked in the field of sport and event communication.
